This is how we roll {Chatham Ontario Children's Photography}

We have been wanting to do a baking shoot with our kids for quite a while. Finally we had a nice warm evening and headed out. A last minute location change and trying to set up quick before the sweet light was gone. This kind of styled session was so perfect for our kids (who aren't always up for co-operating for ANOTHER photo shoot).
They kinda get tricked into playing while we snap away :)
It was so much fun watching them have so much fun :)

MY BABY BOY turned the BIG ONE this week!!!!!

This first year of his life flew by so fast! I cannot believe he is a whole year old already! I kind of dreaded the day that I would count his age in years instead of months! I am never in any hurry for my babies to grow up so I would be lying if I said I wasn't a bit sentimental that day. I have no idea if Ezra will be our last baby or if we will have more. I am the kind of momma that could have a baby every year! I absolutely love everything about pregnancy, labor, birth, newborns, babies. Being a mom is my greatest JOY!

I have had a wonderful year watching my sweet newborn boy grow into a handsome one year old! He is the most laid back, sweet, easygoing, baby. We are really starting to see his personality come out and he is quite the little ham. He already has a sense of humor and a love for music! His sister's adore him SO very much. They love to teach him new things and to make him laugh brings them so much joy!
I am so glad that they have been blessed with a baby brother. That they have been able to watch him grow, and celebrate his first smile, his first laugh, his first teeth. They love to hold him and feed him and read to him. It warms my heart to see the love they have for their little brother!

Ezra you are a gift! We treasure you each and everyday! Even though it pains me to see you growing so fast I look forward to all the fun we will have in the coming months and years. I am so thankful that God blessed us with a perfect little boy! I love your sweet snuggles and your big brown eyes that smile when you do! I love your crooked little lip and your dimple! I love your baby boy voice and your curiosity! It is nice to fold blue sleepers and see little trains and cars around the house. I don't mind that you still wake up 2-3 times a night to nurse, I treasure these moments as I know they will one day be gone. I love the way you still do the army crawl and are no where near walking :) I love your sweet, smooshy (albeit messy) kisses. I love your little wave to say "night night".
God has blessed us with you, sweet, sweet boy!

Wishing all of you a very blessed Christmas!
Enjoy this special time with your families! I am very much looking forward to creating some great memories with my little ones. I love how magical Christmas is, and how fun it is to watch the excitement and wonder in our children. At our home we love to do all the make believe things of Santa and Elves and Reindeer, but we focus on the true meaning of Christmas! The greatest gift of ALL, a Savior! We are so thankful for the birth of Jesus :)



Here are a few pics of my two youngest, taken while my 3 older girls were in school. All I want for Christmas is one picture with all 5 of them together :) Not an easy feat!

An Evening in Neverland {Chatham Ontario Children's Photographer}

When I first decided to make the step at actually taking this photography thing further I tried to think of a name. My girls have been my inspiration since the beginning so I wanted a name that would remind me of them, and so Fairytales Photography was born.
My girls LIVE in a fairytale and I love to watch it unfold. They act out Cinderella, Tangled and Peter Pan. They memorize the words and we love to watch them live out their favorite scenes daily. All three of them are constantly in their fairytale world, imagining, pretending, living!
I love that they are thoroughly enjoying their childhood. These memories are precious to me! Their imaginations are a beautiful thing to witness.
This Halloween I thought it would be fun to dress them up as characters from their favorite fairytale "Peter Pan". Peter Pan has been a huge part of their childhood! For the last 4 years Peter, Wendy, Hook, Smee, John, Michael, the Lost Boys, and Tink have all made their "appearances" in our home. It has been a treasure!
So at the very last minute I decided that I wanted to take them out for a few pictures. I never get a great shot on Halloween, and so I thought this would really capture their costumes. Well last night we captured more than just costumes. These are some of the most treasured images I have of my children. THESE photo's capture my girls at their very essence! Full of make believe :)
