Worth the Wait {BJ Kivell ~ Chatham Kent Ontario Newborn Photographer}

Becoming a parent is one of life's greatest gifts. I truly believe that there is nothing more important in this life than being a positive role model and loving parent. To raise up a new life to be positive and loving. What a beautiful cycle we have the opportunity to be part of. Everyday is an adventure. It isn't always easy, it isn't always fun, but it is the most rewarding. It is always exciting to me to meet brand new parents. I remember those nervous days with my first baby. Worried about every little thing. Was she getting enough milk? Was she sleeping too much, not enough? Was she warm enough? Did she just spit up everything she ate? Those long nights where my hand would find my way to her chest multiple times to be comforted in her rhythmic breathing. Never had I fallen in love so fast, so hard! And there my heart would forever be outside of my body. I miss those days of newborn bliss. I was the one weird mom who actually enjoyed getting up in the night to nurse my brand new babe. We got to know each other in those wee hours, just the two of us. I relive those feelings each time new parents bring their tiny treasures to me to be photographed. I feel so honoured to be chosen to capture that very special and fleeting time, knowing full well that these images will be looked back on multiple times throughout their years as parents, and someday as grandparents. I am capturing their heart outside of their body. This little guy came to see me a few months ago. Gorgeous as can be with the most perfect head of hair. He was an absolute dream to photograph, and a dream come true for his parents!
